Fan Fiction Wrap UP!

This week was a relaxing but fun week! I loved focusing on assignments that had to do with the novel I chose to read over the semester. The novel I read was Wool by Hugh Howey. I ended up really enjoying the novel and have now decided I may be a fan of apocalyptic fiction! I don’t want to give out too much information in fear of spoiling the novel, but I will say that there are a lot of twists and turns within the storyline. You think you may know what’s going to happen next but you really don’t! I would 100% recommend this novel to others!

The assignments I chose to complete this week were all audio assignments! I really loved audio week so that’s why I chose to stay within the realm. I think I am good at creating dialogue and feel confident in the work I completed. The first assignment I completed was recording a fake voicemail message. I chose to be Holston, a character in Wool, leaving a message for his missing wife, Allison. The next assignment I tackled was a dialogue between Deputy Marnes and Mayor blah in Wool. I took this dialogue straight from the novel, played around with different voice pitches, and ended up with a pretty smooth and impressive dialogue between the two characters. The last assignment I completed was a radio dispatch on Frequency blah. I chose to be the character Juliette from Wool. She is looking for anyone that lives outside of the walls of the Silo she has lived in her entire life. She is about to travel outside for the first time and wants to see if anyone is alive outside of the Silo and willing to meet up with her. I had a lot of fun with all three of these assignments!

Now for the question of the week…Look to your right. The thing you see is the only weapon you’ll have during the End. How will you use it to survive? Hmm, well I currently have my remote for my T.V. next to me…maybe I can use it as a weapon, but not likely. The most I could probably do with it is perhaps distort zombies with the television show, The Walking Dead, if a T.V. is close by…LOL!
